Programs

The Center provides numerous programs including seminars, workshops, referrals and private consultations. The Center is open to family business owners, their families, personnel and others wishing to learn about family business. Through the programs offered by the Center, family firms have the opportunity to share experiences and exchange ideas with others in similar circumstances as well as hear from experts in the field.

The Center's programs
focus on issues specifically related to family business such as succession planning, relations with non-family managers, and resolving inter-generational conflict. General business topics including law, accounting, financing, and start-up considerations are also explored in the Center's programs The Center can also make arrangements for consultation with professional advisors and counselors and provides a private and confidential setting for this purpose.

Degree Programs

The Center for Family Business is affiliated with Husson College, which has a one-hundred year history of delivering business-related educational programs. Husson offers a four-year B.S. degree program in Business Administration with a concentration in Family Business Management.

The program includes general business administration courses in accounting, finance, management, law, and technology, as well as specialized courses that address the unique aspects of family businesses.
