Ben Sidaway,
P.T., B.Sc., M.A., Ph.D.
Professor
Dr. Sidaway is originally from
England, where he completed his B.Sc. in Kinesiology. He received his
M.A. in Motor Behavior and Biomechanics from the University of North Carolina and his Ph.D.
in Motor Control/Learning from Penn State University. Prior to joining
Husson, he was a Professor in the Kinesiology Department at Louisiana
State University for eight years. He has an extensive research background
in Motor Control/Learning and Biomechanics with over 60 published, peer-reviewed
papers and abstracts. His current research focuses on the use of motor
control and learning principles in treating clinical populations. Dr.
Sidaway's areas of teaching expertise include Motor Control/Learning,

Suzanne
P. Gordon,
Program Director
P.T., B.S., M.A.C.T.
Assistant Professor
Ms. Gordon received her physical
therapy education at University of Missouri (Columbia) and a Masters of Arts in College
Teaching at University of North Carolina, where she worked with Suzann
Campbell. She is a pediatric physical therapist and has worked for many
years with multi-handicapped children in institutional settings, in addition

Sondra
G. Siegel,
P.T., B.A., B.S., Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
Dr. Siegel received her physical
therapy education at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience
from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Sondra's clinical experience has
focused on neurological physical therapy, with an emphasis on treatment
of patients with spinal cord injury. Her research interests include nervous
system plasticity and spinal cord physiology. Her areas of teaching include
treatment of the adult neurologically impaired patient and rehabilitation

Cheryl
L. Adams,
P.T., B.S., M.H.S., O.C.S.
Assistant Professor
Ms. Adams received her physical
therapy education at Florida International University, Miami, Florida
and recently completed a post-professional M.H.S. in Orthopedic Physical
Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. She has also recently become
certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of
Physical Therapy Specialties. She has practiced for over 17 years in the
Bangor area and was a co-owner and co-founder of SPORT, Inc.; a private
practice specializing in sports medicine and orthopedic therapy. Her areas

Arthur Schwarcz,
P.T., Ph.D, A. T.C., M.N.M.S.T.
Associate Professor
Dr. Schwarcz received his undergraduate
degree in physical education and athletic training at York University.
He received his M.A. in Athletic Training from Indiana University. He completed his Ph.D. in Physical
Education and a Certificate in Physical Therapy from the University of
Iowa. Dr. Schwarcz also completed an 18-month residency program in manual
therapy and passed the Norwegian Certification Examination in Manual Therapy
I. Arthur has over seven years of experience in academics in the physical
therapy program at Grand Valley State University. Dr. Schwarcz shares
with us his extensive clinical and academic experience in the areas of
orthopedics, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and sports medicine.
He currently directs our Musculoskeletal and Therapeutic Skills courses.

Gail
Dechman,
B.Sc.P.T., Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Dr. Dechman joins us from a three
year position as Center Director of the Kuwait-Dalhousie Physiotherapy
and Rehabilitation Project, the goal of which was to improve the standard of rehabilitation
care in the state of Kuwait through education, service, and research.
Prior to that, she was an Assistant Professor in the School of Physical
and Occupational Therapy at McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Dechman
received her physical therapy education at Queen's University in Ontario,
and completed her Ph.D. in Physiology at McGill University. Gail has extensive
clinical experience in cardio-respiratory physical therapy, with an emphasis
in ICU care and pulmonary rehabilitation. Her areas of research include
cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. Gail's area of teaching is Cardio-respiratory

Karen
Morren,
M.P.T.
Lecturer and ACCE
Ms. Morren received her physical therapy education at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia,
PA. She has practiced in a wide variety of clinical environments and has
a strong background in clinical department administration and staff/student
education. Karen's area of clinical interest is in neurological physical
therapy. She is the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education, with related

Eric
Strong, 
M.S.P.T., PhD
Assistant Professor
Dr. Strong received his undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy and his
Ph.D. in Exercise Science and Wellness at Brigham Young University in
Provo, Utah. Dr. Strong brings to Husson students expertise in a number
of different projects such as: Bone Density Study, Weight-Loss Study,
and Undereating and Overexercising Study. Eric's area of teaching is Kinesiology,
Geriatrics, Health and Wellness, as well as assisting in several lab courses.
