Tribute

The one room school houses are gradually disappearing in Maine. Those still standing, they could be memorials to those who have contributed much to education. We would like to remember one room school teachers and students who are still living and those who have passed on. Their legacies, contributions, accomplishments, and struggles in the past are a reflection of our future in education. For this reason we would like to recreate the opportunity for anyone who is interested to gaze into the windows of the past - vignettes of the one room school houses, teachers and their students in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
It is the past that makes us what we are today and the future. It is a day and a life of a one room school.
